Machi.cc and Machiclothing.com

Machi fans rejoice!

I'm going to bring up machi.cc in the future, and also with the opening of the Machi store in Taipei, I am going to get machiclothing.com started so fans from outside of Taiwan/Taipei can order our stylish threads.

Should be about a month or two before everything is ready, so please let me know what you think!

EVE Online

Video games have long been my favorite hobby... although sadly as I get older I can definitely feel the loss of interest in games.

My main gripe now is that for single player games you are simple experiencing whatever the game designer has made for you.

While in online games, (mainly MMOs) there is no end goal, so you end up sinking incredible amounts of time to collect gear to kill dragons, to collect their loot so you can kill even bigger dragons. The cycle goes on and on....

I've been having some free time lately so I have been trying new games to get into (Dawn of War 2, Overlord 2, Sacred 2, The Sims 3, The Witcher, Dawn of Discovery, Trine), the only one that really stuck to me was EVE Online.

Now Eve has been out for a while, and back when it came out I tried it and had no interest in the game. Yet now that I'm older I appreciate and therefore enjoy the game more. It has everything I want in an MMO - a player run economy, and PVP centric.

The game is probably too hardcore for most people since you drop all your items when you die (and you *will* be player killed), yet it reminds me of MUDs, and in fact plays very similarly (although the graphics in EVE are beautiful).

One cool aspect as well is that your skills level up even when you are offline, so you do not need to spend all your time grinding at all. You can do missions to gain money in the game, but you can even purchase ISK (ingame credits) with real money to eliminate all grinding whatsoever.

Rock Music is Kind of Noisy

Ever since I was a teenager I was totally into rock music. Pop punk, to be exact. Simple Plan, Yellowcard, Green Day were some of my favorite bands. Since 2005 I've been writing primarily rock music for myself.

Yet strangely enough, recently I've been listening to dance such as Lady GaGa and liking it more. And when I listen to rock I can't help but think, "Wow, this is kind of noisy."

I always thought that the next time I released an album, it would be rock. Yet in the back of my mind, I knew that people would think it would be weird, since doing Machi it was all hip hop. Now, if decide to do dance music instead, the genres are a bit closer and it won't seems odd. As an added bonus, I get to start over fresh.

I'm thinking of putting together a portfolio of songs online to sell, so I think I'll be putting all my rock tracks up there too.

Running Bad in Poker

After losing some cooler hands with AK vs AA, AA vs KK, and JJ vs KK where I flop a set and he turns a King, I'm going to play some Warhammer Online and The Witcher for a bit.

It put a big hit in my bankroll and I'm on life tilt now... even video games aren't that fun anymore.

Machi.cc Offline!

My blog on the machi.cc website is gone... poof! What happened? Well apparently, Machi decided they didn't want to pay me for the server, so I took it offline. I made backups of the files but Machi's webmaster decided not to or doesn't know how to upload and configure the files. Now machi.cc is a placeholder site.
